Digital Citizenship can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use. In today’s hyper digital landscape, it is important to teach students on the responsibilities of using the Internet and consumer electronic device.. With access to the Internet via computers or their smart phones comes required “baseline” knowledge on how to protect one’s reputation and private information. Protecting your digital footprint is no longer a leisure convenience; it’s a requirement.
MMTI’s curriculum is inherently based on a Digital Citizenship theme that complements all of our lesson plans. We also offer a Digital Citizenship Badge as introduced by the Mozilla Open Badges. For more information on Open Badges please click here: Open Badges. MMTI is currently seeking to create symbiotic relations with institutions and the 2M Better Badge program by teaching master classes on Web Development, Pre and Post Digital Content Production, and Digital Content Creation.
