Michael Jackson
MMTI Tribute
Here's What Wou Missed!

Multi-Media Training Institute (MMTI) Youth perform at the Washington DC World Premiere of Michael Jackson’s new Film  “THIS IS IT”
On Tuesday evening, October 27th Sony Entertainment Presents the Washington DC World Premiere of THIS IS IT at the Uptown Theatre on Conn. Ave. . . . MMTI a 27 year old not for profit that empowers youth in media and technology including personal development will present its youth in dance and movement at this tribute.

Maria Jones, the lead instructor for MMTI said “our young people are not professional dancers but they wanted to express their feelings about Michael when he passed this summer and out of our personal development workshops in our movement session this dance and movement tribute evolved. We performed this all over the city and the Washington Post gave us great coverage. (See Below) As a result the article caught the attention of the Sony Entertainment Producers and the rest is history.”

“We are very honored to be asked to be a part of this historic occasion, our youth who are from Wards 5, 7 and 8 and other parts of the city are excited about being a part of this event and some of the youth will not dance but  will use their media skills to document history in the making….”
As a 501(C) 3 not for profit organization MMTI is asking the general public to assist our young people with basic donations, $5 dollar or more to assist our youth in their preparation for this performance.

We are in need of donations for the MJ event - so that we can purchase:
- 25 Michael Jackson T-Shirts,
- snacks for daily rehearsals
- a meal for the night of the event.
- transportation to and from the trip home after the event (Van Rental or donation)

All donations are tax-deductible and can be made via  Pay Pal on the MMTI website (www.mmtidc.org).  MMTI is presently raising funds for its year round program with the majority of its' funding coming in the summer months. In these economic times our young people really need to be off the streets and in our after school program to continue their development and this is an excellent opportunity to let people know about our program and our need. Any tax donation you send will not only assist in our event on the 27th but will also assist in our video, web, technical theatre and personal development program year round.
